Michael T. Certa , DDS, MD

Dr. Certa was born and raised in the suburbs of New York City. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Fordham University and attended dental school at Columbia University. Dr. Certa then headed south where he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree and completed a year of general surgery training at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. Dr. Certa also completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at LSU, gaining extensive experience in dental extractions, sedation, dental implants, corrective jaw surgery, facial trauma, and the treatment of oral pathology. He has authored research published in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and remains committed to advancing his field through continuing education and professional involvement. During residency training, Dr. Certa met his wife, Dr. Karah McDaniel, a fellow oral and maxillofacial surgeon and native of Versailles. Professionally, they are most looking forward to serving their community. Outside of work, they enjoy spending time with their family, especially their corgi, Claire.
